Cotton
The characteristics of common garment fabrics are briefly introduced.
Cotton is the general name of all kinds of cotton textiles. It is mostly used to make fashion, casual wear, underwear and shirts. Its advantages are easy to keep warm, soft and close to the body, good moisture absorption and air permeability. Its disadvantage is that it is easy to shrink and wrinkle, and its appearance is not neat and beautiful. It must be ironed often when wearing .
Linen
Linen is a kind of fabric made of flax, ramie, jute, sisal, banana and other hemp plant fibers. It is generally used to make casual clothes and work clothes. At present, it is also used to make ordinary summer clothes. It has the advantages of high strength, moisture absorption, heat conduction and good air permeability. Its disadvantage is that it is not very comfortable to wear, and its appearance is rough and stiff.
Silk
Silk is a general term for all kinds of silk fabrics woven from silk. Like cotton, it has many varieties and different personalities. It can be used to make all kinds of clothes, especially for women's clothes. Its advantages are light, fit, soft, smooth, breathable and comfortable. Its disadvantage is that it is easy to wrinkle, easy to suck, not strong enough and fade quickly.
Woolen Cloth
Woolen cloth, also known as wool, is a general term for fabrics made of all kinds of wool and cashmere. It is usually suitable for making formal and high-grade clothes such as dresses, suits and coats. It has the advantages of wrinkle resistance and wear resistance, soft feel, elegant and crisp, elastic and strong warmth retention. Its disadvantage is that it is difficult to wash and is not suitable for making summer clothes.
Chemical Fiber
Chemical fiber is the abbreviation of chemical fiber. It is a fiber textile made of high molecular compounds as raw materials. Generally, it is divided into two categories: artificial fiber and synthetic fiber. Their common advantages are bright colors, soft texture, crisp suspension, smoothness and comfort. Their disadvantages are poor wear resistance, heat resistance, moisture absorption and air permeability, easy to deform in case of heat and easy to generate static electricity.
Blending
Blending is a kind of fabric made by mixing natural fiber and chemical fiber in a certain proportion. It can be used to make all kinds of clothes. Its advantage is that it not only absorbs the respective advantages of cotton, hemp, silk, wool and chemical fiber, but also avoids their respective disadvantages as much as possible, and it is relatively cheap in value.
Pure cotton
Pure cotton fabric is a textile made of cotton as raw material and interwoven with warp and weft yarns vertically and horizontally through loom. At present, according to the actual source of processed cotton, it is divided into primary cotton fabric and recycled cotton fabric. Pure cotton fabric has the advantages of moisture absorption, moisture retention, heat resistance, alkali resistance and hygiene. At the same time, it is easy to wrinkle, and it is difficult to smooth and shrink after wrinkle. The shrinkage rate of pure cotton clothing is 2% to 5%. After special processing or washing treatment, it is easy to deform, especially summer clothes, because the fabric is relatively thin.
Lycra fabric
Lycra is a new type of fiber launched by DuPont. Unlike traditional elastic fibers, Lycra can stretch up to 500% and return to its original state. Lycra is called "friendly" fiber, not only because it can be completely integrated with natural and man-made fibers, but also can increase the comfort, fit, freedom of movement and service life of fabrics or clothes.
Knitted fabric
Knitted fabric, also known as sweat cloth, refers to the weft flat knitted fabric for making underwear. Hygroscopicity and air permeability are good, but they have detachability and crimping, and sometimes there will be coil skew.
Decontamination
Polyester is an important variety of synthetic fiber and the trade name of polyester fiber in China. It is a fiber made from purified terephthalic acid (PTA) or dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol (eg) through esterification or transesterification and polycondensation, polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
